The Squirrel Hill Food Pantry (SHFP) has been serving those in need since 1998. Today there are more than 500 men, women and children who depend on the pantry for supplemental food and support services each month.

The mission of the SHFP is to ensure that no one in this community goes hungry and that those in need have a place to turn. Additional support services help people to get back on their feet so that they can support themselves and their families. All families and individuals who live in the 15217 area and meet income requirements are eligible. It is not necessary to keep kosher to receive food assistance. As the only kosher food pantry in Southwestern Pennsylvania, we also serve anyone from the surrounding areas that require kosher food assistance.
