7th FAAP Ticzon Cup

On behalf of the FAAP and the Philippine Nationality Room Committee, we want to thank all donors who gave a total of $1200 in support of our Philippine Nationality Room project.
Summary of the results of the tourney:
- 6 teams participated: Spider Purp, Sunnyside Ups (2006 defending Champs), Team Bella, Team Bulseco, Team Ticzon, and Yield.
- Results of the round robin matches gave Spider Purp the best record at 4W and 1L, while Team Ticzon and Yield tied for second at 3W and 2L.
- Yield won the tiebreaker match against Team Ticzon to earn the chance to play Spider Purp in the championship match.
- In a hard fought one-game championship match under the hot sun, Yield prevailed over Spider Purp with a final score of 21 to 19.

General Information
The Volleyball Tournament, as a fundraiser for the Philippine Nationality Room, was originated by Mark Knapp in 2001. Since then, Mark and Jun Calejesan have run the tournament at the Annual Picnic, raising almost $10,000 to date. For $200, one may sponsor a co-ed team of 4 players. The teams compete for the Ticzon Cup. The tournament is named in honor of Andy and Fely Ticzon for their selfless service to the FAAP over the years.
Once the Nationality Room is built, it is the intention of Mark and Jun to keep this tournament on-going to support the association and its future charitable projects.
