Filipino American Association of Pittsburgh, Inc.

Duties:

• Collect yearly membership dues; update and maintain the membership database (active and inactive members)
• Publish an FAAP Directory
• Provide a mailing list for circulation of the quarterly newsletter
• Promote, enhance and maintain membership
• Be a liaison and resource between members and association
• Maintain membership-related web pages

Goals for 2007:

• Generate membership growth during membership campaign on Jan-Feb 2007.
• Raise at least $4000 membership dues to help generate operating funds for 2007.
• Use bulk email for renewal reminders, announcements, and the like.
• Set up members-only resources at this website.
• Circulate readily available membership application forms; make courtesy phone call reminders.
• Raise membership awareness at social events.
• Prepare for FAAP Membership Directory; publication date: Summer 2007.

Long-Term Goals:

• Enhance membership benefits.
• Create strategies and incentives to promote membership growth.
• Develop liaison services as an outreach to the Filipino-American community.
• Upgrade members-only access feature of this website.

Planned Activities for 2007:

• Raise membership awareness at YFAP Valentine's Party.
• Send out postcards to non-members about joining FAAP as alternative to the January newsletter. (Suggestion).
• Utilize FAAP website to promote FAAP awareness and interest.
• Build up a membership directory database in preparation for publication of 2007-2009 Directory.
• Continue to enhance membership webpage and its members-only access feature.

Rules and Guidelines:

• Dance performers are current paid members.
• Performances representing the FAAP must have the approval of the Membership Committee.
• Proceeds for any performance honorarium will be determined by the Membership Committee or by the donor.
